Hey guys, I'm brand new to VR and even newer to motion seats. I'm pretty computer literate, but have run into some trouble and hoping this amazing community can help.

I've purchased the DIY license for simtools, and I'm trying to set it up to run Game Engine on my local machine with my Yaw VR, and Game Manager running on my Shadow Virtual Machine.

Output testing produces smooth and fluid motion with the YawVR, so local connection is working properly. I've also patched my game, but I haven't yet gotten to the part where I start up.

Correct IP addresses have been set for BOTH computers, utilizing public IPs because they are not on the same network. TCP/UDP port forwarding is active on both networks, and firewalls are disabled on both with no anti-virus running.

Still, they are failing to connect to one another.

I assumed this was because of the public IPs, and tried switching over to Teamviewer VPN tunnel with corresponding VPN IPs, but it produced the same "Not Connected" result.

Attached are screenshots of both the Game Manager and Game Engine statuses.

I appreciate the guide, but have already gone through all of these steps. My system breaks on step 4 of that guide, because the game manager and engine never read as "connected".

As for what I'm trying to achieve, I play all my games on my Shadow subscription, which is remote. I'm trying to continue playing that way, but with a motion seat now.

SimTools needs to be installed on the remote PC, so with a Shadow subscription do you have full access to the remote machine and privileges to configure it any way you want, including networking?

Yes. And I've already installed Game Manager and configured it, the same as the guide you sent.
