    Hello everyone,

First post in many many years. Hope you are all well.

I would like to build a motion platform that is very close to the ground (max. 20cm / 8 inches). I see that DBox has such actuators but the entire motion rig is way too expensive for my liking. Are there any other suppliers? The only thing is that the actuators cannot be visible from the outside. I would like to hide them under the seats or the motion rig.

So your problem is limited space under the seat? Linear actuators always have the problem that their length needs to be higher than their stroke. (Well, unless you have a multi-stage telescope cylinder)
What about rotary actuators? Lever arm systems can have more stroke than their own height. Think about it as making a kind of (4-leg) spider.
