    Hi,
I will make a simulator for race and flight but there are so many kinds of simulators that I'm lost.
I need your help and experience to make a comparison file with the benefits and defaults of each solution. It could be usefull for beginers like me.
I never tried none of this simulators.

I begin with this so feel free to add your knowledges:

    Full mobile simulator:
    my best choice for now
+ good amplitude on movements -> good sensations
+ pedals and wheel are on the same structure as the seat -> more realistic
    - bigger and heavier than a seat mover -> hard to move and need more space

    Seat mover:
+ moving structure small and light -> need less power on actuators -> cheaper
+ wheels and pedals can be separate from the simulator -> can be moved easily
    - less movement amplitude -> lower sensations
    - legs are not moving -> less realistic for flight simulations

    Joyrider:
    + best for flight simulation
    - Big, need lot of space, heavy

Thank you for the links, there is a lot of informations in this forum !

I'll make a kind of tutorial with images once I'll get all the data I need so any newbe like me could understand the advantages / cons of each kind of simulator.

I understand that someone will prefer one kind than another one but I think we can categorize them by use (ex : a joyrider is better for flight simulation).

i suggest you build a 2dof first and if you want more make it a 3dof or a 6dof

You could also add a G-seat setup.

    Thank you SeatTime.
I don't know the G-seat, is it used instead of a mobile simulator or more ?
did you tried one or build one ? How does it feels ?

I didn't put the traction loss on the list, i think it can be add to any simulator, like G-seat.
Tell me what you thing about the first drawing, I want to make it as better as possible but my knowledges in this field are still too low, that's why i need your help.
