    Guten tag.

I discovered this forum a few minutes ago & am wondering if any of you can help me. I'm looking for a list of companies, large and small that sell SIMS in the US, UK or Australia. Is there a Web site somewhere that has such a list?

I am the Associate Publisher of Vintage Racecar magazine and we are planning editorial on racing SIMS in an upcoming issue. I would like to cover as many SIMS as possible for our readers. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Danke Schoen. (Sorry no umlauts on my keyboard)

    Hi Norm,

As you may noticed, we are DIY motion simulator BUILDERS community. It means that we prefer building the whole thing from scratch, instead buying a full packet motion simulator that may cost thousand euro in best case. We mostly take parts, like DC motors, fit them to our custom hand made cockpits and using custom electronics (again DIY) to drive the motors and the motion sim.

We like making it cheap :brows:

Anyway, there isn't any list of commercial simulators, as you mean it, but we often post some info about them along with a video or photos on this topic:

    Hallo Norm,

wouldn´t it be interesting for your reader´s if you compare in your article commercial simulators with some of our DIY simulators? Both type of simulators got advantages and disadvantages. (price, number of axles, technologie, precision, degree of realism etc. Game/simulation support) The x-sim community controverts every aspekt of motion simulators. Imho you find the most usefull informations regarding that isue here ;D

Is just an idea ... i would help you to research some essential informations of x-simulator.de

B.t.w. every vintage racer´s reader (and everyone else) could use our x-sim software for free :D

Otherwise, i agree with Thanos that you take a first look at the mentioned competitors thread.

    regards
    René

    Thanos & Rene:

    Thank you both.

I have explored some of the posts on that section. Haven't found any new companies - yet.

Here are the ones I've found:
    BlueTiger LLC
    CXC Simulations
    Home SImulator Company
    Virtual Concept Sims
    Virtual-E Corporation
    Motorsports Simulators

    Cheers!
