Any 6DOF is an ambitious first project. So doing some research before getting in too deep is time well spent.

Start in the FAQs, in particular check out the design and 6DOF sections: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Then check out existing member current 6DOF projects for specific ideas or inspiration: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You can also search for specific types of projects using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

@noorbeast exactly what I figured, that's why I wont rush in to things and will be taking my time!

Thats also why the 2-3 years, I need to do a lot of research and have a lot to do. And besides that I am also still studying, so won't be able to work/do my research everyday.

A 6DOF is a complex project, but is very versatile in terms of not only being suitable for wild rally sims, but also the likes of gentle flight sims.
