    Greetings

We presented this new motion simulator concept in the Sim Racing Expo 2025 and many professional pilots who tried it absolutely loved it.

The goal of the whole architecture is to put the pitch & roll axes above the user's head, in order to eradicate inverted motion cues during transient pitch & roll maneuvers.

LOL, I had a similar idea about a year ago. The basic idea of the pivot point above the pilot is not all that bad. It combines the surge/pitch and roll/sway cues in the right directions as opposed to a U-joint below the seat.

But IMHO this only makes sense for DIY projects with very limited budget where you're forced to limit the number of axes to 2 or 3. Your rig is so big it doesn't fit into any of our living rooms. So I assume it's targeted to commercial customers like amusement parks. The big servo motors and gearboxes look quite expensive. I guess you could get six smaller motors for the same money.

So what is the advantage compared to a standard Stewart platform?
