    Hi,

Is there a way to turn on and off the gamemanager with a hotkey or even better a joystick button?
This would be great since i sometimes want to turn off the motion for instance when pitting in f1 2018 ( the sway motion with the ai is VERY heavy)

Also for safety this would rule out to hardware mount and connect a emergency stop button to the power.

If its not possible, could you guys add this in the next version?

    Cheers,

    Rob

Did you ever get a solution for this?
There must be a script that can do this....

That is something for @yobuddy to consider for the next update.

This is supposed to be available in the just released SimTools update v2.4.1 but I have not been able to figure out how to do this.
I've asked Dustin so will post back when I hear back - I'm excited about this feature as I only use VR on the motion platform and having a button assigned on my controls is far safer and easier to access than a separate E-stop button I literally can't see.

Just reporting back that it's possible to have a reliable way of quickly turning on/off the motion platform with button on your wheel/button box using the new options in the Game Manager of Simtools, but you will have to use a 3rd party software to map your combination of key presses to achieve this.
I tried WASD (paid app with trial) and a couple of others but they didn't do what I needed, 'reWASD' didn't pickup my ascher racing button plate my wheel mounts to.

What I found that's simple to use and works every time is a little program called JoytoKey (https://joytokey.net/en/) that allows quick assignment of a button. I am currently using the 'long press' of a button to do this - I use the same button for other functions (no long press required), so didn't even have to sacrifice a button.
JoytoKey is shareware, and if it works for you, consider the $7 for a license.

Here's a couple of pics of how I set it up, showing the new section in SimTools 2.4.1 and my settings in 'JoytoKey'. My ascher racing button plate showed up as 'Joystick 2' but your hardware may show up as Joystick 1' etc - you can press buttons to see what 'lights' up an adjust your setup as necessary:
