    My Motion Simulator:
    3DOF, SCN6
    Hello,
I am new to the forum, so greetings to everyone, my name is Mauricio. I hope you guys can help me with getting my motion simulator to have some motion, because right now it is in static mode.

    This is my information.

    Simulator:

    Commercial or DIY: Commercial
DOF (Number of axles ): 3DOF
    Actuators (DIY, SCN5 etc.): SCN6
Interface (Arduino, SCN, Mega, DIY etc. ): Came with the actuators

    SimTools

    Version: 2.1
Game Plugin: Iracing, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally and others
Settings (Relevant ones): Most settings are as per the quick-start guide
    SimTools Licence type: Pro

I was able to go thru the settings in Game Engine fairly easily and after a few tries I am getting the output testing correctly with the mouse. The actuators go thru the initial check fine, when I start Game Engine and I see no issues.

The problem I am having is that when I start the game, the Game Manager remains "green" and it never and tuning center never receives any telemetry data. I have unpatched, run some laps with all 3 games, repatched running as admin, and without admin rights but still nothing, the Game Manager never changes to blue.

I am not sure if it has to do with having my games on a different drive (not C:) and because of that the patching is not going thru correctly, or it is just not going at all.

Any way, I hope you guys can help me because I am running out of options. I am posting some pics of my settings.

    Mauricio

Are you running Game Manager and Game Engine on the same PC?
Did you set any IP addresses in either of the apps?
(won't need to if installed on the same PC buddy).
Are you running a 3rd party firewall or something.
I'm sure we can figure it out, gust need to run thru a few things to get it sorted.

What brand of commercial sim is it?

Can you please post a picture of your Interface Settings.

Does your simulator move using Output Testing?

Just to be sure can you please confirm the patch path you use for iRacing?

Also the Axis Allocations are too high for Axis 1 and 2, the total should be closer to 100% not 180%.

Thank you guys for the replies.
I have game manager and engine in the same PC. I have no third party firewall and i tried to do everything with the antivirus (AVG) turned off also.

The simulator is a prosimu T1000 and the output testing works fine with all 3 actuators.
As soon as i get home i will post the axis settings.
    Thanks

That helps narrow it down a bit if Output Testing works fine.

    Hello,
So I read that we need to do some laps in the games before patching. I have been playing these games after installation of simtools for a while, but I hgave it a try anyway with Dirt Rally. Still after patching Game Manager still does not go blue.

I noticed a file named "hardware_settings_config" was created when I clicked on "patch game" under this folder.

    F:\Users\Mauricio\Documents\My Games\DiRT Rally\hardwaresettings

So could this be the patch? If that is correct, then patching must be OK and the issue is probably somewhere else.
I am adding more pics of my settings.

With Codemaster games where you patch depends on your Windows install being 32 or 64bit.

    Patch to documents>my games>dirt rally for 64bit

Patch the game install folder for 32bit.

I noticed windows firewall was actually ON. I turned it OFF, removed the patch and patched again, no change. Should I try uninstalling simtools and reinstall with firewall off?

I have never had to do anything finicky like that.
And windows firewall have never blocked my connection.
Do both apps (game manger and engine) turn green when you start them both up?

Yes, they both show a green rectangle on the top right corner.

    What about Game Manager?
Does it have a green background?
The red one should be green...

    Hi Yobuddy,
I have tried everything for a couple of days and also everything you guys told me and I came to conclusion that the problem should probably be on my computer and not in simtools itself. So I went ahead and tried a complete reinstall of windows 10, iracing and simtools. Once I got all drivers installed and patched the game, game manager connected and I was able to get motion on the simulator. Well, only on iracing so far, but I am pretty sure it has solved the issue for all games.

    It is awesome !!!!!!

So I wanted to give an update in case someone get into the same problem and tried everything already, just go for a full windows reinstall because there is probably something wrong with your windows services or registries that will be a nightmare to identify.

So thank you guys for your support, I truly appreciate.
    Hope to race you soon.
    Mauricio
