Look out, frex has got a similar idea to graviton, well sort of. I can see neck brace and chiropractors bill again

Only a thought, but watching the bottom right hand corner of this vid, it shows a real driver getting moved around, I dont see his or her head getting smacked around that much

    or do I?.........paranoid again......

Well, the driver is always trying to keep his head steady as possible, to 'debounce', focusing on what's coming in front. That's why it doesn't shake as much, only when the whole car is shaking which can be reffered to Nordschleife, as it is bumpy.

But that 'debouncing' is something that hardly can be simulated, especially not with this Frex head motion, with one actuator it looks less complex than G6 sim.

The other thing which hardly can be simulated is look-to-apex, which almost every driver do, like this one in the video, purely natural sense. And with this we come to the thing I was talking in other thread - freedom of moving your head freely. I must say, on Frex it looks that the driver can move his head freely because there is only one joint at his back of the helmet, where at Gravitons it looks like you can't do that.

To me, on this Frex it looks like they are running Surge on that head actuator, probably with some limited axis movement.

    Me to!
Could you imagine if the head motor malfunctioned and started jerking your head around at high speed. lol
It would be hard to see the "emergency off button" o_O lol

Good luck to them both, they are over riding what the head actually does and forcing it to fight against the pushing on the head. If they sell any, there must be a BIG document avoiding all liability.

Yes I can see an intensive disclaimer a buyer will have to sign, those actuators have enough power to seriously injure your neck.

    Oh man, can´t belive it.
10Kg force of the SCN5 could lead to serious head injuries when there should be any malfunction of the actuators. No thanks! I totally agree to you guys that this is not a recommended way to simulate any game.

You can look to apex as it seems there is a universal joint on the back of the helmet, also seems the attaching bracket is made of some sort of flexible/pliable material, muting the effect to reasonable levels. I won't count this out until I actually try it, its definitely interesting.

Looks like FREX is also testing a new screen.

Bad enough getting sore shoulders from a racing harness in my sim, don't like the idea at all.

Seems like just another way to skin a cat, try wearing a heavy race helmet on any motion sim which has large surge movements eg. surge table/6DOF. You will feel similar forces.
