With my circuit boards of my simulator nearly completley finished (I just need to put a few more resistors in the H bridge and im done) Im starting to think of other cool inventions to put on my simulator.

Has anyone tried Free tracking (a webcam detects your head movement with 6DOF and can move the view in the game) im thinking it'll be cool with dog fighting games!

Anyway thats a little side project for me when i finish my simulator.

    Hi!

I have one, with the Microsoft VX1000 camera worthy to be useful (30fps head tracking), or a WII controller (100fps). With a car simulator its only interesting, not useful, in a competition its only a setback. When with it, you dont lose any seconds (laptime), you achieved a good result already then.

I have tried it in rfactor and GTR and it works ok, but its not a good idea chasing flies while driving :D (I have not tried real competition) To make it easy you can start with with just one led lamp and a battery. I mounted it on e little stick and taped it to my headphones. A little tips: Have other lights in the room turned of to get stable signals to freetrack. its also usefull to adjust sensitivity. In racing-game less sensitivity its better,,,i think!
