Please post your experiences whithin the Force-Profiler 1.8 in this thread.
E.g what is good in your opinion, or if there are bugs, which should have to be fixed.

The only issue I found in the 1.8 was the washout that had the same fall speed all the way.

I'd prefer if it was slowing down as it reached the center so you don't feel the sudden stop action.

In my smooth servo system this sudden stop came too noticeable!

I suppose the speed that it returns to center must be proportional to the distance left. I have implemented such code for my smooth servo code. I'll try to analyse it in simple compoments or a simple formula so you can use it.

I'll try to ask also Keith Daniel (that programmed Portdrvr interface for flight simulators) how he implemented the washout code.
In his application the washout return is time-based configured and the speed curve is adjusting automaticaly. And if the washout is interrupted by another new movement, the new movement starts from the last position that it was during washout. It takes a very complex code as I see it to do that...

    X-Sim provides Force-Feedback and G-forces ;)

And afaik he uses X-Sim just for non FS simulations.

Well, I use both xsim and portdvr as each fills the other in abilities. Portdrvr is designed to work only with microsoft's flight simulators While x-sim can work with many games some of them with great level of simulation output (LFS). My electronics are directly compatible with both of them as they both can output the same serial speed and the same motion axis data format.

Apart of that, If there wasn't Keith I would propably never started a project like motion simulator. He was that gave me the connectivity to the game (flight sim). And I devoted to help him improve it for the past two years and along figure a way of making a cheap motion system that he could also make later on his own, based on my findings and expierence. Lucky me I had no much drawbacks and the only thing I changed from the initial plans where just the motor mount way. I made my motion simulator move only by using the standard robotics education kit that most robot builders start with: A Boe-bot! What ironic... A so small robot brains (almost a toy) were used to built an large scale robot you can ride on!

Back to the point. Keith wanted to host my pages as token for al the help I gave (and still giving as a beta tester of his updates) and after all he will also build it from the info on these pages. I don't know if he wants to give way the secrets of his washout code yet.

I can test any beta updates you have on washout anytime. I'm trying to use washout in IL2 plugin to make it look more realistic in flight...

Wo muss ich was umschalten?

    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF
