Hey, new to the forum but I have been reading through tons of posts the last few days. I have read some great information on both of these motion platforms. I am trying to figure out the best solution for what will primarily be a flight simulator, but after watching all these racing videos, I am sure I will do some of that. A little background: I am moving to a new house first of the year (so I have time to decide). The house has a great basement for my set up. Space isn't an issue, but for cost vs. set-up, one of these two platforms I believe will be best.

This is the SimPit I bought:

Here are my questions if anyone is kind enough to help:

    1. Would the T1000 5 motion add anything to a flight sim? Or is the Yaw only there for helping feel the slip when racing? Does anyone have flight simulator experience where this has translated well?

    2. Since I won't be getting huge DOF from either one of these platforms is 5 motion over kill? Something about the compact form of the NextLevel Racing V3 makes me feel like it will be just enough to add realism without going overboard. Any opinions on the ProSimU T1000 3 motion? Again same thought, would 5 be too much and 3 enough? I understand this could be personal but curious if anyone has opinions.

    3. One advantage of the NextLevelV3 is that it only moves the seat. I am not building a Boeing cockpit by any means, but I will have some additional items needed for the cockpit. I will build out a removable side console and have some flight deck instruments in my line of sight. I think this will be light but will it complicate things with the ProSimU since everything moves? I only weigh about 80kg.

    4. I notice people put a wheel base platform on the ProSimU T1000. How much Left to Right movement does that create? My simpit has a radius of 85cm, so I don't see an issue with room but adding a console seems again like it could complicate things.

    5. With all of that, I have a hell of a project on my hands either way! Are there any sources or people since I am limited in my design ability that is willing to help or as a paid service help design things? I can build or have resources for that locally but this will hopefully be a creative set up, and I am not sure I have the talents to bring my vision together. I am speaking mostly about adding a console to the side and a flight deck panel. The base of the ProSimU T1000 will especially need some creative additions.

Thanks for any time spent reviewing this. Cheers and great site.

    Best regards.

Personally my view is that full frame designs better suit flight simulation.

To the best of my knowledge I don't think anyone has got the NextLevel Racing V3 configured to use SimTools, it is not impossible but being a proprietary system you would have to know how to communicate with the NextLevel Racing V3 to use SimTools.

Traction loss and yaw are not the same thing.
