What style of simulator do you want to build, as that can influence things like which motor would be best?

I believe others have used those motors: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/seat-mover-with-traction-loss.11301/

If you goc24V use Sabertooth as the driver and modified SMC3 code for the Arduino: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...ket-serial-pid-motor-driver-for-arduino.9277/

Personally I prefer Hall sensor to pots, as they are performant, long lasting and won't break if over rotated, something like these: au.element14.com/bi-technologies-tt-electronics/6127v1a180l-5fs/sensor-hall-0-2v-20v-to-10v-pin/dp/2319662

You can modify server PSUs: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...ver-power-supplies-as-cheap-powerful-psus.54/

Or just use cheap LED strip light PSUs from Ebay, which are a little less sensitive to fluctuations.
