    Hi all,

I've already received my 2.0 DIY license (thanks for the fast reply!) but before uninstalling and re-configuring the whole thing, I'd like to have your feedback on this new version.

From what I understand, in my case (basic 2motors 2DOF rig), the configuration should be very similar to v1. I'm actually wondering if I would have any immediate benefits using 2.0?
I also realised that I'm losing the dash until I decide to buy a pro license...but I might actually do so in case I need to help out again with the Codemaster plugins :p

Looking forward to hearing from users :)

For me SimTools 2.0 is more responsive, it feels like an engine upgrade, generally speaking is a bit more automated and refined to use, will have expanded functionality like transducer support, can support far more axis/forces such as a 6DOF + G-seat and in many ways is designed to be the basis for endless expansion, because everything and anything can be treated as a treated as a plugin.

The license provision now also extends to commercial use, not just DIY users.

    JRK support is now native.

@yobuddy is putting in a lot of time and effort to squash bugs.

All dev and plugin focus will now be on 2.0, with 1.3 to be depreciated in a year.

    Hi @noorbeast ,

I'm quite aware of the different changes in term of licenses...etc, been following that closely, but thanks for the reminders :) What I'm looking for is more around user experience, like when you talk about responsiveness. That's definitely an interesting feedback :)
I've spent lots of time fine-tuning V1 and I must say that I might need some good reasons to switch now to v2 and start form scratch :)

    @Vef445
Your not starting from scratch thou.
SimTools 2.0 will be simple for you to setup now!
The only difference in setup is <Axis1> is now <Axis1a>.
You will feel the difference for sure!

But before you remove 1.3 thou, backup this folder.
    C:\Users\(Your User Folder)\AppData\Local\SimTools
Then if you ever want to go back, simply install 1.3 and replace this folder.
    You won't lose anything!

Thanks @yobuddy , and it's true that I wouldn't take much risk to lose the current setup.

Well, I guess I just have to give it a go now :)

Well worth your time to change over to 2.0
I would say the fidelity is 30 to 40% more for me, and I have not had much time to fine tune!
