I had the same thought about the Rift. You would really need something like Valve's Lighthouse tracking plus motion cancellation to use something like that in VR.

If you guys are AC forum member's, Post up. Some think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I've also been informed this is an Old X - sim.de member who took all the info he could find and puckered off.

And speaking of the Rift, Noorbeast i would love for you to explain to these guys on the thread that it would be near impossible with that Much motion, they seem to think a Rift will make this better, Lol

I will not waste any time at AC forum. They should do what they want to do.

I have already had that debate a number of times on Reddit, at least there some get the realities of why motion cancellation is needed with large movement sims, particularly with the Rift and its ground referenced tracking. I hope Valve may be open to a more generic motion cancellation solution. It is interesting that people get hung up on G-forces when presence is really what matters in VR.

BTW some interesting detail: if nobody noticed already the 401cr makes some annoying noise while moving. The loudspeaker is very loud but cannot drown the noise of the buzzing motors.

Yes,the motion "looks" exaggerated, but the major fail I can see in this video is "the fail to isolate/eliminate the surrounding visual reference of the room from the game-rig itself".

I think that is an east-european knockoff of a 301 that uses common ac-motors and vfds... but yeah thats a fail!! :)
