What kind of switch you used? Most mushroom type estop switches have both NC and NO contacts...

This is the one i bought. It came with only one switch.

I got around the problem and modified the switch to work normally but now when the circuit is open (E-stop not engaged) the interface is not sure of its state, and is constantly detecting as a switch being pressed. It is constantly going from stand by to park mode. When I press the switch its OK and detects E-stop engaged. Do I need to install pull down or pull up resistor?

    Best regards.

The signal is already internally pull-up to 100k. But I believe you may have EMI interference because of the servos. I'd suggest using shielded audio cable for the switch, with shield connected to ground on the AMC controller, to avoid the cable act like an antenna...
