    Hello.
I have setup my Simtools to take advantage of the dual-PC feature. I have most of it working including of the connectivity between Game Manager and Game Engine. The indicators turn blue and all is good.
However I stuck with an issue - Under the split configuration, I get no telemetry.

I spent over multiple hours trying to get thjs to work in a split configuration.

The same code works great when Game Manager and Game Engine are on the same PC.
I am using an ARDUINO card and linear actuators. At this point all I am trying to get is the virtual axes to show movement.

Please let me know what I am missing,

    Thanks in advance,
    CJ

Yes. Double-checked. Reinstalled just to be sure. Turned off firewalls.
The game engine and game manager connect. The indicators turns blue. When I use the Gane Manager ‘ON/OFF’ button, I can see the Game Engine respond by disabling the buttons on the left side and saying ‘Game On’ in blue.
But the telemetry is missing on virtual axes.
Same experiment with both on the same PC, all works well. Telemetry data showing in Virtual Axes.
Have spent all day yesterday trying to resolve this one issue and I can’t see why telemetry data won’t come through.

today, I spent multiple hours trying to resolve any firewall issues. I turned off all windows firewalls. I even went back to LFS and tried testing dual PC with LFS wondering if it was an XPLane plugin issue. But no joy!.
same issue. connections are fine. But no telemetry. Switch back to same PC and telemetry is fine.
Surprising that teh Game Engine and Game Manager connect fine but wont let telemetry come through.
Since this is LFS, there is no need to install the plugin. It is available as a part of SimTools.

Can you please post pictures of all of your settings.

Have you also turned off any antivirus apps that may interfere with network traffic?

Have you tried on different computers?

@yobuddy may have some additional ideas as to what may be going on.

Ok, here is an update. Here is all the things i tried today. I will also post the setting after this update.
    A) Connected the two PCs through a new switch, No wireless router involved now. Once again all connections are great. GEng and Game Manager turn blue. But no Telemetry.
    B) Based on recommendation above, tried a different computer. Win 7 this time and hence both Manager and Engine are running on Win 7. No Joy. Once again, all connections are made. Turning Mgr ON/OFF turns the Engine ON/OFF - i.e .disables/enables buttons.
    C) Installed LFS directly on both PCs. Individually both PCs work on the Game Engine. Only remote is the issue
    D) ALL FIREWALLS ARE OFF. One PC has ESET, which is disabled for each of the above sessions.

Here are teh settings screenshots from the Game Engine PC - Win 10.

Since this LFS, there is no need to install the LFS plugin - am i correct?

Are you un-patching and re-patching the game after the Ip change?
In the LFS folder, look for a file called cfg.txt, open it to see if the game is sending to the correct ip address.
    (Ip addresses at the bottom)

Can I check that you have run a race in LFS in first person mode prior to patching it for motion, as that generates some required files.

If not then unpatch, close SimTools, run a race in first person mode, then re-patch LFS for motion.

Yes, after each IP change, I have unpatched and re-patched.

Yes, this was done. Thats why when Game Mgr and Game Engine run on the same PC, there is no issue. Telemetry works great.

I am not understanding why if the Mgr and Engine can connect, then the telemetry data is transferring on the same connection. That has me baffled.

All I can think of is that the games port is blocked? 4123?

The game sends its data directly to the "other" pc.
So maybe look on the "other" pc windows firewall and see if packets are coming in when the game is running.

If the port is blocked, then I would think that the plugin wouldn't transmit to the Game Manager and then to the Game Engine while running on the same PC? Am i wrong?
If it were blocked, will it still work when Engine and Manager are running on the same PC?

It's not blocked on your single PC setup, I was talking about your dual PC setup.
With lfs, the game itself (once patched) sends data directly to the second PC.
You don't even need SimTools started once the game is patched, and when the game is started, it should still send data to the second PC.
If this is blocked somehow, there is nothing for game engine to receive and do anything with.
Since Game Engine and Manager connect and trigger correctly, it seems like the game it not sending any data is all.

    Could you try another game?
    See what happens?

    Take care,
    yobuddy
