    Hi!

Sorry this is another "can I use these?" thread but at least I introduced myself in the "new here" thread before posting. :)

I´m looking for actuators for my motion rig but as I´m from Europe (Sweden) I´ll have to pay big $$ for shipping and customs duties if ordering from e.g. mirai or motion dynamics.

So I´m looking for an altenative in Europe and stumbled across these:
    http://www.conrad.com/ce/en/product...ms-DSAK4-12-50-300-IP54?queryFromSuggest=true

As far as I know the speed is OK but I´m concerned about the torque and if I´ll need JRK:s or such to control them? Does anyone have experience of using these?

Sorry for my bad English. Not my first language.

The thrust is 5 kg... it's quite low.
    A smolka motor + 6 cm lever gives = 24kg

Remind to check speed under load in the pdf and see what you get!

Beware the "einschaltdauer 15%" is a very low duty factor... probably not suitable for continuous use during 1 hour of race

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
It´s nice to see that forum gods like you still take your time to point noobs like me in the right direction. I salute you!
The motors that you Value1 linked to look very good. :thumbs
I want to build a 2 DOF sim like the one in your A to Z thread Mat but with the addition of traction loss.
I assume the same motor will work for for the TL aswell?
bsft - Yes, I was planning to use JRKs for just the reason you mention.

yes, same motor for traction loss is fine, you would need a 3rd jrk though.
Ask as you need to and go hard!
    Dave.

Start by having a look at the links I gave, read through their respective builds carefully.

    Go through the FAQ section.

Assess your own skills and interest.

Then start your own thread and ask lots of questions as you plan.

We all started from the same place and are fortunate to have so many experienced members here who make sim building possible for the rest of us.
