    Hello !

Here is my new project ( or my dad project because my project is here : https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/3dof-with-350w-dc-motors-nicopoche.11699/ )

I raced for years on a 106 F2000 and now we try to "reproduce" it in simulator ^^

We want that the 2 seats move at the same time in 2Dof with only 2 motors and here is the solution we found :

And now we are here :

New pics are coming because now the car is painted, and we are close to make the first tests :)

Here is the first test we made "unmounted" :

    [flash width=425 height=350 loop=false flashvars=]

And the car I used to drive in real :) :

The engine is now a computer ^^ : ( don't worry, we didn't cut my rally car... We sold it et bought a crashed 106 rally body to make this simulator ^^ )

Have the motors been tested with a 2 person load?

Design wise the uni joint should be as close to the seat as possible, in particular with a compact design that has limited inherent design leverage.

Thanks for your reply and tips :)
You are right, the joints have been modified since the picture, thez are now closer to the seat. We have not tested yet with 2 persons, but the levers are very short so we are confident ( or too optimistic :D )
At the biginning of the project, we thougt about moving all the car body :grin:grin:grin:grin

Excellent idea! and nice beginning :popcorn

maybe you could edit the thread title into something like "Double 2DOF seat-mover with
true rally car body" because it's really special. We don't often see double simulators.

Hope you will upgrade the wheel...

    Thank you Racing Mat...
I think we will update the wheel in the future, we know that the T300 will be weak.
I 'd like to change the title of this thread, but can't find how to do that... I'm just able to edit what is inside the thread...
I will work on the sim this week-end, i will make more pictures beacause my dad works very fast on it and never takes pictures :D
The car is painted, we are very close to the first tests !!!

Thank you ! Title changed ^^

I'm just working on it... Having a headache with something I thought that it would be a detail. As you cas see on previous pictures, the T300 wheel is away from the T300 base. So I have to manage a long cable linking wheel and base, wrapping randomly around the wheel during turning right and left...

    Will find a solution :)

For the wheel, I found the radical solution. :D
I opened the wheel base, took off the cable that connects normally to the wheel and passed it at the rear of the base. So now, i can connect directly the wheel button part directly next to its base, and everything is fixed ( no cables turning with wheel ).
The problem, when I'm in the car, the wheel button are now unaccessible ( outside the car )... Ok, so i soldered 2 cables on each contactor button of the T300 button part ( for the moment only on shift + / - and handbrake but I can do it on each button of the T300 ) and go to the in-car contactors on my handbrake and shifter.
With the other buttons of the T300, i will be able to make a little button box in the car...

Currently, there is only Dirt rally 2 installed on this PC.
I played hundred of hours on RBR years ago, you are right, the best rally sim...!
This motion simulator is mainly for my dad, and he is not a simracer ( not even a gamer :D ) so Dirt is already quite hard for him ^^
I have my own 3Dof and play 100% Assetto Corsa Competizione ;-)
