    Hi guys!

You need to weld some electronic stuff but you would like to preserve your lungs?!

    Let's build a smoke extractor!

    - I found a beautiful 12cmx12cm fan in scrap from a CoolerMaster broken PSU

    - I used a plastic sheet (kind of corrugated) called "coroplast"
    it's like this ][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][
I cut some walls near the corners (in order to bend it easily around the fan):

The fan is surrounded perfectly and I used 4 tie-rap around:

I re-used and welded a jack to the fan wires:

Simply sticked it on a side:

A power supply 12V 0,5A from scrap, with a convenient switch:

    I bought carbon filter for kitchen extractor hood (47cm x 50cm = 3€):

I cut 2 holes to fit it to a support:

    and results in video:

This may not be exactly useful isn't it? But in deed really interesting. Wow :)

I think RacingMat is a very nervous driver and perhaps smokes while driving. For a better view in the room he needs the smoke extractor. More information you will figure out here:

Handy for soldering inside, but in 20 years of welding I have learnt not to hold my head in the smoke, head spins too wicked. , lol.
