Good news, I managed to build plugins for both F1 2012 and Dirt 3 with dash support :)
You'll have to set extradata = 3, which means you can either use GameDash or any external dashboard tool. This has to be done manually (see instructions below) as I haven't sorted out how to edit correctly an XML file via the patching process...

    Motion data:
This plugin provides pitch, roll, yaw and surge, sway, heave acceleration and traction loss.

    DashApp Data:
    Speed, Gear, RPM

    Instructions:
    1. Unpatch your game via GameManager
    2. Quit GameDash, GameManager and GameEngine
    3. Start PluginUpdater and drag & drop the plugin attached to this message
    4. Restart GameDash, GameManager and GameEngine
    5. If you already have Dirt Rally on your machine, you can copy the configuration (DOF axis assignments, min/max and Gamedash config, all this should be very similar)

I don't have the possibility to test every DOF on my rig, so please if you are a 3DOF or 6DOF rig owner, give it a try and let me know.

    /!\ Important:
After activating the telemetry data from Dirt 3 (extradata=1 or extradata=3), the game will most likely crash when passing the finish line. A very easy fix is available here: https://github.com/RoccoC/DiRTTelemetryErrorFix

    Enjoy :)

[EDIT]: Version 0.2 available for both plugins, you don't need to edit any xml manually anymore

PS: Not to take all credits on myself, I've based that plugin on the plugin example available on this forum, leaving of course the author names in it ;)

New version available (see first post): the patching process will adjust your hardware_settings_config.xml file automatically
