Diodes Capacitors and Batteries - Regenerative current

    I understand my DC motors will generate electricity when they are working with gravity

    this will create some back voltages

    what is the best strategy to stop this being a problem ? I want to implement a solution before i fry something by accident

    it seems to me the battery is working like a big capacitor and the power supply feeding it will eventually overcharge it

    do you have to have to have a diode on each wire to the motor ?

    would a snubber be a good solution ?

    are the capacitors dangerous ? they could end up charged with a lot of electricity !

    Just ensure your Regulated power supply is set so that it does not cause the battery to overcharging (12 VDC) and your good to go.

    Wow - i did not realise it was that simple

    i have some server motor drivers that are 12v 70 amps

    i was going to use one on each battery - 24v total

    i assume the power supplies will increase current when needed and only then ?
