I already managed to change my code to mode 2, but now smc3 won't let me put my engines "on" to follow the steps

Hello, I had the same problem and I only had to turn the potentiometers a little and in the smc3 as in the photo press motor 1,2 or 3

What potentiometer did you use? And how are the motors activated to run?

I already have my motors connected, when I connect them to smc3 they already rotate, but when doing the test in simtools they do not move, much less in the game, please help

Best to follow the SMC3 instructions: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

    Setup for Simtools 2:

    Interface Type - Serial

ComPort = the Arduino ComPort, you can find it in Windows Device Manager.

    BitsPerSec - 500000

    Data Bits - 8

    Parity - None

    Stop Bit -1

    Output Bit Range - 10

    Output Type - Binary

    Interface Output - [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]

Yes, I did it as you are, the instructions for SMC3 but when starting sim tools and using the manual test, the motors do not move or anything

Please post pictures of ALL of your settings in SMC3 and SimTools.

Does SMC3 behave as expected, as that has to be fully sorted before configuring SimTools?

Hello, excuse me, in what position do we put the potentiometer when connecting it to the motor?

we need the engine not to make a full turn and that is what our engine tries to do

The pot or Hall Sensor feedback should be centered when the motor levers are in their centered rest position.

Mounting and connecting a pot depends if gearing is required or not, direct mounting with a flexible coupling is easiest, but some pots require gearing: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/how-to-connect-protect-a-potentiometer.13/

The control code, such as SMC3, should be tuned to set the range of lever movement and to cut power if that range is exceeded: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/#post-48121

Hello! No problem! I did the positioning of the potentiometers by SMC3Utils first with the motors disconnected, then just put the motors in the desired position and connect them in the potentiometers, but being careful not to move them from the alignment obtained in the SMC3Utils. And ready, after reconnecting the motors, when starting they should be stopped in the correct position ...
