I am almost done with the wiring for my 4DOF+TL from PT-Actuators and need help with a default profile to use for SimTools.
I'm getting a bit confused on which Axis to use for each DOF.
Can anyone help and show me their default profile?
I will mainly be using it for iRacing but I will also be using it for RaceRoom, Dirt Rally 2.0, and some other sims I use as secondary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    @noorbeast
    I have the PT-Actuators 4-DOF 150mm 250mm/s mega monster actuators
(Ill be installing the TL platform next week)

When working on the axis assignments another thanos member told me to set up the 4 axis across all 6-DOF Under assignments. My total percentage was around 130-140% for iRacing on each axis if i counted up each DOF.

For DOF-6 he said to put Extra1. Is that even necessary or can i leave it with DOF1 through DOF5 for the iRacing axis assignments for the 4-DOF PT-Actuators i currently have installed. If i leave off the DOF-6 and leave it for axis5a when i install the TL Platform, i will have the Extra1 on axis5a across the line.

WhAt do you think about leaving off DOF-6 for now while i only have the 4 Actuators installed?

You really should post pictures of your rig and all your settings, so members can give considered advice.

From you description I am guessing you are using a 5 actuator rig, one on each corner plus traction loss, and if so that is actually a 3DOF rig + traction loss. Extra 1 should be dedicated to traction loss and allocate surge, sway, heave, roll and pitch to the other 4, initially tuning each axis/force individually, then refine.

My rig is 4 actuators currently
I havent added the TL platform yet. I’ll do that next week probably

So you’re saying i should only set surge, sway, heave, roll, and pitch for now for my iracing profile in simtools? At least until i add the TL Platform

Yes, that is what I am suggesting, and initially tune each axis/force individually then refine from there, as per the earlier link.

Understood. Thank you for your help

I assume my initial dizziness was because i set DOF 6 to extra1 and had all 4 actuators activated to work for it. Since i havent installed the 5th TL actuator, i believe it was causing me to get motion sickness.

A poorly refined motion profile can indeed exacerbate VR sickness, as you get conflicting cues, while a well refined motion profile can help reduce VR sickness, as there are additional complementary reinforcing cues.

But some people are more susceptible than others, particularly in race sims where there is a lot of fast visual movement in your near and medium field of view.
