    Hi All,

I have managed to get my 2DOF Wiper motor platform to a point where I can successfully use it with Live for Speed, and No Limits 2.

I'm having trouble getting DCS to work however...
From what I've read online it seems that the language which is used in the .Lua files have changed apparently, and the Simtools plugin dates back to 2013.

When I start the game, I can see the Game Manager indicating that the game is running.
But no data is actually being sent to simtools. It is as if simtools is not receiving the data it is expecting.
When viewing the Tuning page, all values remain 0.

Is there anyone here who is successfully using the 2013 dated plugin on the latest DCS version?
Just want to know if I am missing something here.

    Cheers

I can confirm DCS v1.2.15.3241 works for me.

Are you sure the patching path is correct, which should be: C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Saved Games\DCS

    Ok great, that's good news...

Yes I did point the patching to the folder in the User directory, but the first time I did it it failed to create the Export.lua file.
So I reran the Game Manager as Administrator, which then allowed the patching to happen. (Windows 8.1)

I think I will try and run DCS as a different user so that a new user directory is created, and then re-attempt the patching.
Can't wait to try it out on the motion simulator + DK2

It is pretty good with the DK2 and motion, other than the menus.

Could someone confirm that dcs 1.5 works with the current plugin. I have no data getting to tuning settings and want to confirm its not an issue with the plugin before I go any further.

It was working last time I checked, but my sim is currently configured for Beta testing so I can't readily check.

What path are you using to patch for motion?

The plugin is creating the export.lua script in the correct location. I can see it in my scripts folder. It also overwrites my script for my Simshaker plugin. Luckily I backed it up.

Sorry, I just want to confirm that you are patching to C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Saved Games\DCS

Have you tried things like unpatching, restarting Game Manager as Admin and repatch?

Yes I have tried restarting and running as admin. I repatched also. The path is ...\saved games\DCS. I am using . as my decimal separator so that is not the issue. I also tried a second computer and had the same problem so hoped the community could confirm that it is not the plugin that is at fault.

No problem @RiftFlyer, in normal circumstance I would have been able to check myself.

I presume you have but is your seat configured and working properly with output testing in SimTools?

Not as yet. I completed one electronics box and added idler pulleys to my pot feedback belts yesterday so I'm ready to begin software setup on the backrest assembly. I wanted to ensure the plugin worked before I began though as the entire endeavor is pointless without it.

The likes of @hugso can confirm but it is a pretty safe bet that the plugin works with 1.5.

It is equally important that you configure and test your hardware with SimTools and make sure it is also working as expected. So do confirm it works with Output testing before messing further with plugins.

I reinstalled DCS 1.5 and have the same issue. No data showing in tuning window.

Is there anyone here with dcs and sim tools installed that can confirm the plugin works with 1.5?

Bumping this out of frustration guys. Sorry to be pestering but could someone please test the dcs plugin with dcs version 1.5 and confirm it works?

I'm out of ideas and hate to abandon sim tools before I even get started.

    Thank you so much @value1

I'll keep digging to find the source of the issue.

I'm no closer to solving my issue. If anyone has any advice for diagnosing the problem I'd appreciate the input.

-Fresh installation of sim tools and dcs. Both were installed as administrator and are set to run as administrator.
-Game patched correctly. I have the export.lua script showing in my saved games\dcs\scripts folder.
-No mods or other entries in my export script
-No invasive anti virus software running
-Tried with windows Firewall off and also set up exemption rules for port 41230
-No export script related errors in my DCS log file
-No noticable increase or decrease for the game manager process under task manager

As per the below screenshot game manager is showing successful connection to DCS yet Tuning Centre shows no incoming live game data.
