My latest project is a Lewis Hamilton inspired custom steering wheel. Most of it is 3D printed due to cost and convenience:).
One part that's been pretty tricky is the hand grips. So far, most people seem to have either molded them by hand or 3D printed them. I see Nick Moxely has posted some nice models here

My problem is that I'm not keen to mold the grips by hand cos I have no artistic ability:( !! and modeling the grips in CAD has been difficult because of the way they connect to the main portion of the wheel.
Has anybody got any experience with this? I'm in need of some 'pro tips' :)
