I would like to try to make a curved screen to use with a single projector (Optoma hd142x or benq W1070). So I have 2 questions before starting my project:

    1) I know that probably will be necessary to be used in software for warping, and I also know that with a 180 ° curvature it is absolutely necessary to use 3 projectors. Do you think that with a single projector and a software of warping I can project on a screen of 120 ° or I have to stop at lower values like 90/100 °?

    2) i had read some good reviews on nthusim but entering their site I read that the software is no longer available. Also I can not register to request a copy of this software. Do you know where and how I could find it? Alternatively there are other cheap and equally valid software?

    Thanks for support

fly elise is a software like nthusim?
regarding the angle of the screen?

Yes they make a blending / wraping software - you can use a demo for 1 month with water marks. I used it while experimenting with my 2 projector / curved screen:

Now i have to say calibration was a pain in the a$$, it takes time to get the geometry just right. And software can play tricks on you but once set you just save a profile and you are good to go

man, nice screen, what kind of projectors did you buy? (lumens, resolution) is it better or cheaer than multiple monitors?

These are cheapest crap projectors i could get as the whole idea was just a test.

    Resolution 1024x720
    Lumens - no idea

Price wise - building this costed me about 300 bucks including projectors but i did not buy the software (just used demo version for some time)

This setup was very good due to scale of the objects (could really get sim racing 1:1), but not using it anymore due to space constrains in new place

The trick is to measure properly what the projected image size will be and then making a screen for that exact size to use as much pixels as you can.

Also in my example the Angle between the projection and the projectors was to high thus i had a lot of geometry setup to do (not the 'demo' sign curvature)
