ok, little disappointed after getting the k8055 board in for use with my old rock in ride... This came in "kit for" .. Little too much soldering for thus guys. Anyways I'm now open for new direction... Suggestions ? I would like to,keep it air powered if possible as I already have the compressor and the actuators are in great shape.. But if wiper motors are the way to go, I will abandon them.

IIRC, the k8055 was all thru-hole soldering? A cute trick to make short work of it is a $0.99 egg of Silly Putty.

Form it around the component and board, flip over, solder, pull it off and put it on the next component. You can do multiple components at a time.

Plenty of How To videos on YouTube to get you started. Mostly confidence builders, you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Anyway, assuming you already have an iron and solder, it's not much work. I frequently have my daughter do up boards for me, her vision is better than mine, and were frequently doing SMD parts, so a bit trickier than thru-hole.

A second alternative that is pretty much solder free is to get an Arduino and a breadboard. There are plenty of I/Os, and with a breadboard, you could do any driver circuitry you want w/o soldering. For instance, an open collector driver coupled with a big FET, or even a solid state relay, could easily drive air actuators.
