You will need plugins for the game you wish to play. Do a search here depending on what game you wish to play. My suggestion first is get the jrk's working properly in the jrk utility program, if they move there, move on to the x-sim. Once you have put in the settings for the program to read off your jrk's, open the force sender, select test tablet off the plugin list. Then enter some math figures for each axis - in this case a slider action, click send data, click start on force profiler and if your motors move when you move the slider, then the x-sim program is reading the jrk's. Then you can move onto a game and fiddle with math settings. Then the fun starts.
I have pre-set profiles I can share, however, they are for a joyrider style frame though, not a frex.
Let me know if you need any more help.
    Cheers, David.

    Hello Guys

i have a problem with my jrk.
I can control my motor with the USB software kit. Everything is ok . I can move the motor forward and backward.
But when I start X sim profiler 2.1 i get the message Error writing init parser on serial port COM4

My settings in the output setup are
    Datapacket start ~221~~64~
    Datapacket axxis ~221~~a01~
    Datapacket stopp ~255~~128~

    I use the com4
    Polulu JRK Command port (COM4)

Maybe some had the same error message and know what i had to change.

    Best regards ThomasD

Have a look at the picture, and try the suggested settings, although try datapacket set at simulator stop of ~255~. Check that you have only set up the comports that you need, go to select comport to edit, click the drop down menu and check via the device manager that you only have the two comports you need. They will be different to what is in the picture.
    Try that.

    Hello bsft

Thanks for your answer. I`ve tried your settings but I had no success.
Must I configure the jrk with the pololu software before I can use it with X-sim ?

Make sure when you connect the jrks, that the computer will ask for you do tell it where to find the software via a new hardware wizzard, let it search a few times and program the jrks.
Yes, set up the jrk in the configuration utility program. You will need to set feedback for the pot mounted ( if you have one), and the other settings , read teh pdf manual from pololu, check pages 10-16 explains how to connect the device via a usb cable to the computer and setting up the software so the device is recognized by the computer as well as where to find them in the driver manager of windows.Page 18 is PID options, this assists with speed control of the motor. Myself and others have started with PID of 2/2, 0/3 , 1/1. This works well. Feel free to fiddle with this later after you have everything running. Page 22 is error responses, note them down and set them!
Page 31, is more error reporting commands, take note when you get errors, you can refer to this.
Pages 37 and 38 are for setting up the JRK to a motor with a potentiometer as feedback.
These pages are the most needed; the rest can be read for reference.

Next use comport 5 as shown so you are right there.
For datapacket sent at simulator stop, try ~255~ on its own.
Make sure in the select comport to edit list, there is only the comports you need an delete the rest. Remeber to name each one axis1, axis2 and so on.
