    My Motion Simulator:
    3DOF, Arduino, Motion platform
    Go to: ...mydocuments/mygames/codemasters/f12010/hardware_settings_config. xml
Depends on your os, but it should be in your mygames/codemasters dir.

So NOT the file in the game directory!

    @ledfoot: thanks for the profile!

    Regards,

I highly recommend using the 25% limiter. However, a 100mm actuator can perform similarly to a 150 with the limiter off, but not quite as precisely.

NOTE: I have witnessed incorrect (too high) speed and acceleration values destroy an actuator!!!

The optimal scenario is to use 150mm actuators with greater angles and the limiter. The greater angle means more granularity of your motion because you can have the same degrees of seat movenent but utilize more actuator travel to achieve it. This provides the best feel . It also provides the best safety.

You should always use a limiter if you can!

For some reason every profile bar FAGS program I use with x-sim is like shock horror to the point i got to switch it off after 2 seconds. Because it feels like the actuator will rip through my spine.

My speed setting is always on 10000 and acc at 512.

I just dont know how to alter somes profile so i can decrease the foward and bacward movement.

I want to use ledfoots profile for F1 but is unplayable because of foward and backward movement is too much and too sharp. How can I tone it down further please?

To reduce Longitudinal movement (forward/back), decrease the percent of intensity of effect 27. To reduce lateral movement (left/right), decrease the percent intensity of effect 25.

    @ Fahim,

The one size fits all approach of the plugin you are using will cause that type of problem for certain.

What you are suffering is the issue of actuator angles that are different from what everyone else is using, not necessarily the issue of 100mm vs 150mm. For example, if in Ledfoots sim, a longitidinal movement of x caused 5 degrees of movement a lateral movement of x also causes 5 degrees of movment, his profile will feel much different on a sim where a longitudinal movement of x causesd 10 degrees of movement and a lateral movement of x causes 2 degrees of movement.

If anything, his profiles should have less movement on your simulator, not more given that the two of you had matching geometry.

I also agree that actuators can be damaged by having incorrect actuator angles, a heavy passenger and high speed and acceleration values. Never run without the 25% limiter unless you have taken appropriates precautions within the profiles by properly scaling the effects or adding limiters within the math table.

At last made progress. Managed to tone down the movemet. Like the investigater mr columbo. Just waaaaan more question

Can I leave my speed and acc to default:
    Speed 10000
    Acc 512

At all times, regardless of any profile. These seem to be quick enough for me.

The Settings in the synatrix will override any settings that you have in the SCN5 plugin. You can change the settings in the synaptrix or delete them and it will use the settings in the plugin instead.
