Can these Servo motors be used for a DIY motion project?

Hi i've been interested in a DIY motion project for a quite while now, I stumbled upon this website recently while researching what I could do.

I have rescued 4, barely used but 10 years old, servo motors (and a lot of very big linear motion tracks) from scrap and i was wondering if these can be used for a DIY motion project.

they are: Bosch Rexroth Intradyn msk060c-0300-nn-m1-ug1-nnnn. Their holding torque is 8nm and the peak torque is 24nm. The rotational speed is 4900rpm.

There used to be a very large control cabinet for this equipment but this seems to be lost. So one question is: can these be controlled using something like an arduino with added generic drive electronics?

My thought was to use some kind of screw gearbox system to convert the rotation to linear movement (but I'm not sure where to find this.) and I assumed that the force of these motors should be efficient.
There where linear motion drive attached but this were toothed belt drive and had quite a long hub. Vertically this was 2400mm and horizontally (different sawtooth drive and much bigger motors) 10 meters. I couldn't see any way to be able to place that in my game room.

    any guidance is highly appreciated.

    regards

    Eric

It would be worth checking with @Thanos to see if his controller is a possibility.

What about the Servo drives that were driving these servomotors? Do you have them? Model?

Remeber, most servos and drives must be matched, not only calibrated but correct wiring too.

    Thanks

Yes, I realised when I read through your tutorials that these servo's are going to be useless without the servo controllers. I hope I will be able to visit our office this or next week and check if the cabinet is still there.
Next to that, my gut feeling says that these servo's might be too big for the purpose.
I also consider just rebuilding your design but with the current shipping rates (and Import duties) it looks like just the AC servos will set me back more than 1200 Euros. So searching for the servo controllers probably is worth while.
