There are many diy wheel projects on the web, but it is a little difficult to see their effectiveness in the videos.

So, can someone point me to a topic where I can find a good project to follow?

My steering wheel is failing and it’s very expensive to buy another Logitech, so I think it’s good to make one.

    I appreciate any help!.

It depends on what performance you are looking for, at what price point/complexity, here are just some project examples in the FAQ peripheral section: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steering-wheels.65/

You can certainly DIY a direct drive wheel that is far superior to the G27, and on par with the very best commercial offerings.
