I'm upgrading to Bourns 10 turn 10k. Is there anything special I need to do, software wise or other?
    About to start soldering.

    Arduino SMC3

    Thanks

I wouldn't use them they are terrible, they lasted about a week, if that on my rig. 10 turn hall effect pot will be what I may use next however they are a little expensive

Oh I see your on 2DOF with a worm gear ? you only need a 180 or 360 degree pot and I would highly recommend using the BT Tech Hall effect they are by far better choice

Oh ok, I wasn't expecting that. They look pretty good to me. Anyhow I already installed one so I think I'll just give it a go and see how they work. Is there anything I need to do inside simtools or SMC3 code?

Yes it's 3dof worm drive. The pots I've been using are in the picture on the right, cheap 10k 1 turn linear. I ordered these bourns not because they're 10 turn but because I'm hoping they're smoother, less jitter and last longer hopefully.
