better explanation of coins to new members

    We are still getting people spamming the forum getting coins, perhaps an auto generated private message could be drawn up so when a new member joins, they get a message explaining about the coins, maybe suggest they post a message on the public forum asking for a donation of coins if need be.

    If the user system supports auto emails on registration then @bsft's suggestion would be a good one, perhaps also including an explanation of the 5 post being needed before links can be used.

    Notwithstanding there will always be people who will disregard any and all repeated requests to desist in spamming, both public and via PMs, such as has been the case today.

    Still adding an auto generated email would highlight it a bit better.
    I dont know what you mean about disregarding PMS, unless you sent the offending person one or you have moderator access that we do not know about. I know I sent them a PM.

    Most of the spammers that have been banned were warned not to continue spamming for coins and ignored the PM warning, and the EMailed warning. We have been discussing the issue. Thanks for trying to stay on top of things though.

    I suppose they don't know they just have to read unread posts via the new posts menu to earn coins easily.
    With a fresh account, I imagine there is a lot of coins available with this method.
    I think it's possible to earn the 250 coins in a few time without need to spam the forum, it's sad they don't know that.
