I think this is the appropriate thread for posting my question. Noob to racing sims, always used a controller for console racing. I would like some opinions on current FFB wheels. G27 is now $199, is the Thrust Master really worth the $600? (3x as good) Not trying to sped $1,200 on primo set up. Would like some real world input, plan on mostly road racing, maybe some light rally.

    Thanks

My opinion: Go for the G27.
    Compatibility and very natural feel
    Good value for money.

The G27 is fine and very accurate but low FFB forces. I own the G27 and the T500RS so I can compare them very well. I recommend the G27 as long as you are not a pro racer :) The t500rs plays in an other league.

Well the T500R should be better for the price, but for a starter, even the Driving Force GT wheel is good for a 900 deg turn wheel. Lousy pedals, but a great wheel to start with.
I use them, on the dual racers and they work just fine for casual gamers.
On my personal rig is a G27, again I dont get to play that often, maybe an hour a week or so, in that case for me justifying purchase of a T500R is not feasible.
Ive used a T500R on another rig, and yes a good wheel.
Just to start with, go simple. The G27 with decent feedback does surprise.

G27 would be my suggestion, its a decent wheel for performance to $$ and is Highly modifiable if you so choose.
