I had the opportunity to setup a jig to measure load and torque in a ballscrew.
In these pictures it is a 1204 ballscrew and the load cell is showing kg, and analog torque gauge.

I found it was about 1.5 to 1.7 Nm to make 100kg.
Theres a bit of stiction going on that makes it tricky to get repeatable results.

I ended up doing this as part of another side project Im working on.
I went looking for calculators and formulas online but couldnt find anything I could trust or I could feed the right values into them. So this test jig was put together to get some values to work with.

At some time in the future I'll do a 1605 also.

Thought it would be interesting to some.
