Hello everyone. As you can all probably notice this is my first post on this forum :)

Well myself and my neighbour are interested on making a Simulator for PC for racing games and possibly flying games too. But as you could imagine we have no idea where to start. If anyone could just lead us in the right direction to what we need to get started it would be appreciated. Programs / Hardware and so on :)

Also, what would be a reasonable amount needed to be spent to have a nice stimulator?

I would like to thank Leberkaspfandl ( Chris ) for reffering me to this forum.

Im new also, but have been reading here every post for the last month or so. There are no guides and lots of research is needed. First thing is to decide is how much you want to spend. For race sims most go for a frex style, either with wipermotors, or scn5 actuators. The scn5 setup will run you a minimum of $1000, but will be fairly easy to build, as all the electronics are built into the actuators. Wiper motor sim will be much cheaper probably $300-400 minimum, but you need a lot of research, and need to build everything yourself, including printed circuit boards and assembly.

Wiper motor will need Tronics amc1.5, and Dsmhb which are found here.
Scn5 will only need a power supply and adaptor for computer.

If going with wipermotors, this is a great link to explain what everything is and what it does.

    Hello,
I am French and I speak English very badly  . I will wish to make a simulator 2DOF with SNC5 but I don't understand which interface it is necessary to use between the computer and the SNC5.
Thank you to help me in my research.
