good morning greetings to all just started and already I'm stranded. Not bad that you exist, I plan to build a two dof simulator so I bought arduino uno an ibt2 controller and with a wiper motor with the potentiometer fixed on the axis I started with the project found on your forum.
once programmed the scketc on arduino I launch smc3 utiliti and the motor moves correctly by pressing the motion button it moves and also in manual it does what I tell it now the problem I download simtool DEMO version I run the lfs patch and set the parameters on the sim tool but nothing to do the engine does not move where am I wrong? after having read varipost and made some attempts by changing the parameters, the sim tool does not communicate with arduino. Before going on with the construction I have to solve this problem, when I see the engines that simulate with the game then I will post my simulator and I will not wait to do it but in the meantime help me thanks

sorry for the language obviously the google translator did not work automatically from now on they will post in English.
thanks for your interest I tried to do as you say but the same does not go when I activate the turn on button in output testing on the arduino a led lights up and when I turn it off it goes out it means that the sim tool is talking to arduino but obviously something you shouldn't post the photos of my settings that as you can see arduino and in com 3 I loaded smc3 v.01 and tested with smc3 utility in windows and the engine works because I'm testing only one engine at the moment sim tools and in demo mode lfs works fine but with sim tools nothing moves

In the Interface Settings set your BitPerSec to 500000 and Interface Output to [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]

Then grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

You then need to properly configure your axis, this is what SimTools expects: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Then see these tips on how to refine a motion profile: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

with these settings the motor moves yeahhhhh
but up to 4% then it turns off and no longer goes to make it work again I have to disconnect usb from arduino and reconnecting it works but always up to 4% why? maybe there is something to change in the smc3.ino?

The SMC3 Clip and Max limits set the range for the lever where it will try and stop and if it overshoots will shutdown the motor as a safety precaution: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/#post-48121

Normally the values are higher and different from each other than what you have set, to give the motor some range and time so it does no go out of range and shutdown, here is an example, but your values need to be tuned for your hardware:
