Hi everyone. I have been searching for Uno R3 contollers but noticed there are different versions with slightly different architectures, most of which are not authentic Arduino controllers. Will any of these boards work with SimTools?

I also have some concerns about Monster Moto H-bridges. I noticed authentic ones are actually made by Sparkfun, but I have been finding many that are made in China and without the Sparkfun name on them. Should I use ones that are clones? Thank you.

I have found that the unofficial one will work but there is a risk in terms of quality of build such as poor soldering and D.O.A (dead on arrival) units. I have a UNO that was 3rd party, I specifically went for the UNO with the longer shape IC (older version), not the newer atmel chip. My motomonsters were from china and they all worked fine. This doesn't meant that you are immune to problems though because a few members have had issues mainly with the motomonsters being D.O.A. I haven't heard of any arduino clone with issues yet.

@Alexey please can you share the ebay or aliexpress dealer/vendor of the MMs? I am looking for the serious ones, saying the dealer which sells most of the MMs working instead of D.O.A (BTW nice description, I will keep that)

This is where I got all of my MM

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Useful-D...50?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item5d4e841786

They are dirt cheap so I bought a heap of them. I haven't had a D.O.A from this vendor (smooth-dealer) but that's not to say that that there aren't any duds. Looking at his feedback he gets a fair share of negative reviews in terms of quality and generally being slow on delivery.

So if you are looking for a reliable source maybe the vendor I bought from might not be a good idea.

Then again, a genuine monster moto is in the vicinity of $70 - $90. I paid $7 each.

@Pit I just received 4 more from the seller in my post above. All 4 are good units. They are up to 17 good out of 19. I haven't had a broken one ship since last year.
