I have some basic knowledge of the arduino chip, but I'm contemplating creating a simulator that uses user inputs to the racing wheel to create motion. Basically my idea is put direction actuators beneath the pedals, and have a rotational on on the wheel. Id also have on on the shifter. The idea would be to have the actuators relay information to my arduino and calculate how fast I am going, then base the motion feedback intensity on how fast the system thinks i am going. I'm looking to have a sim that rolls forward when i shift and brake, leans a bit when a turn, have a combination of air bags and seat belts that tighten when i turn and potentially integrate drift motion based on a camera microphone that triggers motion when the tire squeal sound is heard.

Has anyone tried this? if you have no comments maybe a simpler question is is it possible to make a proper simlator for xbox or ps4 or do i need to use pc? if i use pc, how does the data in the game make it into the simulator? do the pc games spit out real time data?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
