I am a member of the forum, and have been observing all the interesting things that so many invent. I want to thank the creator this incredible software, X-SIM. I also would like to take a moment to say that Thanos work has been an inspiration, he is obviously an expert. I would like to humbly post a few pics of my beginning stages of my flight simulator  . I will continue documenting my progress as I go. Any suggestion for improvement is welcome, I am new at this. Regards to all. :hi:

    looks very solid

Do you have an idea about the motors already? I guess you will need much power to move your construction.

Btw, I have moved your thread into the matching forum section.

    regards
    Christian

Thanks for looking at my post, and moving my thread to the appropriate forum section.
I plan on using pneumatics to move the beast:
    80 mm Festo cylinder
    3/8 mid-closed valves (for pitch)
    50 mm Festo cylinder
    1/4 mid-closed valves (for roll)

I have done some preliminary tests, and the pitch moves at 2 bars very easily.

I want to take this opportunity to thank my friend, Jesus (TXUS) whom I met on this forum. Without his help, I wouldn't be where I am with my project.

    Re: Alvionsim's little proyect

    Hi Aviomsim.
I have just seen the photo's of your Sim and noticed the angle the rams are mounted on in relation to the main pivot point. With the angles so close it makes it very hard for the rams to move the weight of the Sim, because there is no mechanical advantage, so if it is having trouble moving the Sim once all the extra weight of the seat, controls and the Driver are fitted you will have to move the bottom mountings of the rams out from the centre of the Sim so they are more at right angles to the main pivot point

    Hi,

I was going to ask the same question as Egoexpress... but you seem to answer it already.

Ok, here are some new questions: Aren't you interested in precise positioning? or in fast response motion that will synchronize to the motion cues given from the game? Isn't going to be a little unrealistic to have motion with single speed?

    Regards, Thanos

PS. I'm honored that my work was inspiration for you to get into the motion simulator's world!

    Re: Alvionsim's little project

Yes it's a copy of that design. I tried To contact the creators on multiple occasions, because they said they were willing to share the design plans. Needless to say, I never heard from them. I liked this design so much, I consulted with mechanical engineers, to recreate it for myself. I would never have duplicated this plan, if for one moment i thought they would mined. This sim will be used for personal use only. I hope that although I used the same design, I may improve the efficiency. My sim will be used exclusively to recreate a combat aircraft experience. In the future I'd like to build a sim with servomotor like thanos's system. I commend you on how knowledgeable you are with what is already out there!

Note : These pictures will show more detail's regards to everyone

Your configuration is correct ....but Im my design the cylinders are so powerful, I can move the all structure with 2BAR...Thank you for take look ...... :highfive:
