As the topic states this is a thread about alternative setups for the pneumatic. Why? Biggest reason for me personally is that valves are expensive to get here.

So to all people with knowledge, are there any other alternative setups we could use? Considering that the controllercard has support for 8? individual valves, surely there must be some other ways to make it work with more valves that just minimum of 2x 5/3.

My own idea to get softmotion would be to use 6-8 valves in total, 4/2 ones maybe.
3-4 per cylinder, 1 for each nozzle on the cylinder, then 1-2 deciding speed.
    Would this work?

And which valves are your exhausts?

with a 8 seperate valve solution are 4 of them exhaust valves.

Sure, with a 8 valve Setup pulsmode is possible. But no 3speeds mode with different pressures.

Every cylinder needs besides the air-intake valves exhaust valves as well. Within the 5/3 valves, automatic exhauts are integrated already.
If you want 3speeds mode, you'll need 5/3 ones.
    Think about it.

What about using 2x 5/3 with middle closed, then 4x singlevalves with different flows?
So that its just like 2x 5/3 with 2 hoses with different pressures thanks to the singlevalves

Then 3 speed would be possible? Im no expert but as long there are at least one 5/3 per cylinder, there should be softmotion?

    Nice idea, indeed.

Should be possible. You'll have to assign profiles in the ForceProfiler valve matrix.
