    Good day,
I am interested on the ACESIM flight simulator http://www.acesim.com/main.html , I think the prototype is easy and cheap , and I hope that I can make it soon.
However I did not understand what they choosed for the actuator, I can for sure use two acutators (one for each DoF ), but I wan't to know what is the gadget that they used(similar to a joystick), if someone could help

That is not actuators, its a plain joystick... the initial system is purely manual mechanical.

Here is a motorized version I made 14 years ago:

Thank you for your reply, I think I should read those plans again to understand how that arm move the entier chair.
so that joystick was used just to translate the movements of the mechanism and send it to the computer?
Your work is outstanding, do you still have some ressources(used actuators, codes,..)? I checked the link in your description ,but unfortunately it's out of work.

Yes, those links are really old, much was lost all these years.

I can tell you what I used back then, the actuators were made by car wiper motors paired on a tower pulley system with metal wire that was push-pull each frame to tilt to the desired angles. One of the towers was mounted inside the frame moving along as well. The position feedback potentiometers were mounted inside the casters used to allow rotation of the frames, so they could measure the angles.

The power for the motors was from a marine 12v deep cycle battery, via a h-bridge I designed myself, controlled by the first prototype AMC controller back then, that was only for 3 axis...

You can see some more mechanic details on my old videos:

The motor drivers for the joyrider on the video is home made from parts I found on my local electronics store back then in Greece.

Nowdays, there are motor drivers widely available for DC motors, thanks to arduino influence on expanding the interest for robotics.

I can't recommend anything specific for DC motors, I have been working with AC servo systems the last 4 years... (which could be also a possible solution to use for joyrider, (about 800usd for 2 servos with gearbox and controller) but perhaps overkill. The joyrider is mostly balanced platform and requires less power to move, making use of small and inexpensive DC motors more fitting.

thanks for your replay , can 3 servo be controlled by THanos controller to get somethings like the platform in the picctures which I found the simulator is buildable I think with my moderated skill in building mechaniches and in electronics ,and where to find such servo with drivers and controller ( the AC servo and drivers with controller) ,the 6 actuator kit was more than 2000 usd at aliexpress and shipping cost to my place was over 1850 usd so i might go with this kind of platform in picture I uploaded if it work with thanos controller ..again thanks for your response to my quastions

Sure, but you have to make sure you can find worm reducer (what is used from what I see in the photos) that has compatible flange with these servomotors. Most common is to use planetary reducer. See that I mean here:
