Can someone advise, based on the experience of having these drivers and using them regularly, does it need active cooling on the heatsink side of the drive just to keep it within a acceptable temperature?

Or they do not even get that hot?

My setup will have 6 of these spaced at 40mm from eachother in a fully enclosed box underneath the sim and the enclosure itself will have 2 open ports 89mm ID (bass reflex tubes, as i already have 2 available) with 8080 fan on each (to circulate the air inside the box).

Does it really need active cooling on the drivers themselfes? I do not want to leave weak links in my setup reason why i am asking this.

    Many many thanks in advance.

Definitely does not need active cooling. Also your spacing is generous. Sounds like you're solution will be plenty.

No need to cool the AASD-15A drives, they could get warm but not enough to need active cooling.

Even under extreme torque conditions the motor itself may get way too hot but still the drive will be fine. See here when I measured the MMOS wheel 90ST-M02430 motor under torque in game driven by a AASD-15A drive:

Hi Thanos, thanks for your help. I guess no cooling then. I really appreciate your suggestion on this aspect.
