5 DOF pneumatic flight sim

    My Motion Simulator:
    Arduino, Motion platform, 4DOF
    Over the last 7 years I have developed my flight sim motion platform using SimTools. Everything is supported on 3 pneumatic rams which provide Pitch, Roll and Heave motions. This is in turn is gSeat.jpg mounted on two sets of heavy duty drawer runners which provide Sway and Surge driven by big servo motors. Simple enough in concept but, of course, actually making the motions feel good took a lot of head scratching. All good fun, and flying in my Spitfire things do feel pretty good. I have pneumatic pressure pads in the seat to give the effect of sustained g force in a turn and also in the seat straps to give more feeling with negative g.

    @hugso, I love the look of your compact rig. And after reading how long you are already working on it, I checked out your old build thread from 2013 with videos of your simulator in action. You did a really good job here, man!
