hey guys im new here this is my build so far its still a mess but it works for the most part its you usual arduino uno rev3 (a000066) 3 ibt controllers im using jazzy wheel chair motors for the front 2 and a windshield wiper motor for the 3rd as traction loss everything works except the 3rd motor only moves one way?? its fully controllable in the one direction as in you can move it just a lil and the pot ine follows the blue line and stops when i stop but when commanded the oposite direction it has nothing?? i know when i didnt change mode 1 to mode 2 the front 2 motors acted the same way but switched it to mode 2 and they work correctly so i would assume so should the 3rd motor! i can take external power and move the motor the other direction with ease so i lost

    Nice work :thumbs

Yes Mode 2 is required for your hardware.

Does the TL axis work as expected in SMC3?

Can you please post pictures of all of your settings.

When my ibt-2 work in one direction:
    -ibt broken
    -arduino broken

I test everything without load if You assembly all and test it could be not enought force back (PWMrev) but I dont think so.

Nice frame will good base for 6dof :D

it works perfectly in one direction if I move it a little bit it moves and stops as it should I move more it moves more and it never shuts off like it’s sensing a problem or clipping! it will go full extension one direction on the up side in manual mode in smc3 and then green pot line follows it perfectly in the one direction I’ll try and take a video and pics of my settings! Thanks everyone for the help I also tried using live for speed and just doing 2dof just to feel the motion and got all the settings correct per a couple of videos and info here it said the game was patched and connected but I got no motion while accelerating I did put the percent at 50 all the way down instead of the 100 it was at maybe that was it I’ll try it again shortly

We do need to see settings to try and figure out what is happening.

LFS needs to be run before it is patched for motion, please see the FAQs here: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...run-in-first-person-mode-before-patching.365/

Thank you so much for the info on the LFS I followed directions and she works amazing in 2dof so I continue on the path of getting motor 3 working I’m posting my settings with this reply and this setting is for all 3 motors!! Now here’s what I’ve tried I changed IBT-2 controller from motor 2 knowin good working controller to motor 3 wires and ribbon and still only one direction so I then only took the signal wire (pot signal wire) and the ribbon from motor 2 left the positive and negative’s to the pot and controller and it works perfectly being controlled by motor 2 controls!!! So I’ve either got a bad arduino or something in the programming is making motor 3 run in mode 1

Well here’s an update for anyone having the issues I was having I figured the problem out I took everything apart and checked the wiring connections at the arduino for broke wires or anything fishy and I found I had the ENA and ENB wires for motor 3 backwards lol swapped them around reconnected everything exactly the same way as before and would you guess it!! We have traction loss!!! Yayyyyy now to finish welding and bracing and start to enjoy this contraption!!

hello iwas wondering if your motors where strong enough I bought the same motors to start my build and wanted to know how much power they had in a rig

hey yes they are plenty strong enough what I’ve come to learn is it’s all about the balance point as long as you get it right you’d be surprised at how little force it takes to move even with weight! But yes no issues with those motors! I’ll be using them in the next few builds my next one is going to be full 360 rotation in both directions for a flight simulator!

for now using a car battery with a kill switch but plan on buying some 750w computer power supply’s and see how they work haven’t invested to much into it worst case I’ll buy a nice gel battery and a battery charger lol
