So i have decided to make my project following the youtuber and fellow member to these forums known as DMAX and his hugely detailed and straight forward instructions to construct your own motion platform for normal ppl like u n me 2 understand with in my opinion the best "bang for my buck" in material costs 4 project i have found. I have some of my own thoughts on how to further push costs down by fabricating frame portions with free discarded metals that can be collected for free in your community that is discarded and take metal costs out of equation if u wana get hardcore captain planet with me.

In their own way creative budget builds are just as awesome as high-tech alternatives, I am looking forward to following your build and adventure!

Thank you noorbeast. Ok so I finally have most of the parts I needed to begin so I began by working on the frame sections and cockpit fabrication cuz u dont really need any of ur electronics yet to start this. I have found some good items in my community that I can find pretty easily like metal bed frames, discarded grocery carts, sometimes box steel or pipes if im lucky. These are all things that were abandoned in my community and I collected them from the things people were discarding or sometimes just from basically litter. So I'm hoping that I have been able to collect enough of this stuff to make all three sections of frames without having to purchase any metal which would mean that I only have to pay out-of-pocket for the electronics for this project which was surprisingly inexpensive and I think I'm going to get good results with the parts that I have chosen

Ok so here is my functioning build. The frame is made almost entirely from salvaged materials. The universal joint is the only thing that I purchased from a local junkyard for about $20. The majority of my rig is built from a dismantled a shopingcart that I found abandoned in a neighborhood which I collected most of my scrap metals from. If you are willing to travel to a "rougher" part of town lots of materials can be found as illegal dumping is a major issue that these communities are constantly dealing with. Of course if you're going to try this be safe and use common sense because that pile of "junk" could be someone's stuff.
