Congratulations, you have done a great job!

I really like the pivot under the seat and the wood construction. Can you give a rough estimate of the price, everything included?

It's good to see more and more builds finishing with great results!

Frakk, thank you for your response!
About the approximate price: whipers - about 50 Euro, chips, transistors, some bolts and nuts - another 50 euros, the rest was found in the garage.

    Great job!

Btw, you could take a lot of stress from the actuators by placing the pivot under your butt.
As it is now, your weight is splitted between the pivot and the actuators, which is suboptimal Imho.

    Regards

Have to say wow wow wow , another great project and again you guys have shown a level of innovation and ways to make it simple , love the way you made your own universal joint and revesre thinking about actuator location -- creative thinking at its best :) every day you guys show waht can be done without spending a lot of money .. personal thanks for posting your work . i have all the bits to make my sim but always on the lookout for easier ways to make bits with limited tools. your work and Deriys show a lot of useful details love it love it lovie it ----greta work guys

Yes, that it is. And now we must try to connect it in parallel with one of the wipermotors, as massage seat is powered by AC through a built-in rectifier!

No, no. In the middle position a chair with my body balanced. This balance is easily obtained by moving the chair along the upper platform. In the video, visibly as bouncing the front edge of the lower platform. This suggests that the center of gravity is located exactly over the hinge.

    Hi there,

I've never built a simulator before but I'm interested in giving it a go. This one looks awesome, it's cheap and appears to be relatively easy, any chance you'd be interested in posting some detailed instructions so I could build something similar? :D

This simulator was built from scrap materials except vipermotors.
To control the motors used Tronic's AMC motor motion-controller and Tronic's DIY dual Mosfet H-bridge (DSMhb).
    Power supply is 20A 13,8V.

Hello ua6aak. I really like yours and Deriys sim, and I am building something thats a combination between them. Have you thought about making steering wheel and pedal move with the seat, as Deriy`s? What kind of powe supply do you use? show a picture of it! I see Deriy use 16v and you 13,6v. I guess you both have 12v motors.

Hi, Fred. I use a power supply designed to power the radio amateur transceivers. It is 20 amps 13.8 volts. About making steering wheel and pedal move with the seat - I think it is quite possible. Perhaps'll do this in wintertime.

    I wish you success!

I think it is posible to move steering wheel and pedal with seat if you make it low weight. You are velkome to have a look at my design here: articsimulator-joyrider-made-of-wood-t2063-50.html I am using laminated wood on the curved parts. (its not fully tested) :highfive:

He used the same engines as in my simulator.
    http://www.kzae.ru/products/reductors/product3.shtml

    Rated voltage 12 v
    Rated power 10 W
    The maximum current 3,5 A-5,0 A
Rated speed low 30-40 rpm hi 55-70 rpm

But the power consumption of these engines is about 60W
    With supply voltage 12 volts.
