I open this post in order to follow the progress of my project.

The plan is to make a 2 dof platform simple and reliable which i can integrate in my simulator frame.
Due to my work is easy for me getting folded metal parts or welded frames.

I have seen a comercial model which uses linear actuators and i would like to do something similar:

    STRUCTURE

    Coming soon...

    CONTROLLER AND POWER

    Coming soon...

    LINEAR ACTUATORS

At this point i am centered in chosing the linear actuators.
I have seen some comercial models from the brand lineak

I have readed that speed is an important thing (it is recomended about 150-400 mm/s).
I am a little bit confused about torque and speed needed because this assembly has this red part which modifies forces and speeds.
Also at the center there is a pivot point, is the load is exactly centered the force that actuactors should do is theorically 0 but i dont know how much dis-centered could be the load. It is important to know this in order to know how much torque is needed

    Any help about this?

By specifications they might work depending on your final frame design. But it might be tricky to mount the levers to the motor axle don't you think?

Why you dont use the scn5 or better scn6?
The speed is 400mm/sec, 40kg of load, you can put in front of your rig and under your seat position put a pivot.
My idea for motion rig is to instal in the front zone of the structure 2 scn6 and 1 pivot under my seat.
The two scn6 can supported around 80kg and the big weight of the structur and the drive is supported from the pivot

You can find scn5/6 to frex gp japan or https://www.miraiintertech.com/home/scn6.php canada

Wow...they hit pretty hard on the wallet if budget is an issue! You can by a 2DOF by DOFreality for this amount of money!

I'm considering buying the prosimu kit with the two scn6 actuators

Unfortunately, the price is a bit high but already includes everything to manage the actuator.

    2 actuators scn6 stroke 100mm 40kg load
    power and control boards
    power supply
    usb cables and power cables

Yes Fox i am agree with you but if you want a motion rig with linear actuator with fast speed and good precision (feeling) i think the price is very hight

No doubt about it, I'm sure it is!
