I have to figure out a way to mount my pedals for my sim. It's the last piece of the jigsaw for the top frame of my sim.

So, what's the pros and cons for dis assembly and inverted mounting of the G27 pedals? Is it worth doing now while I'm on the initial frame build?

it is worth because they are too short on normal position... imo

I agree with Pit, the G27 pedals are a bit too short in their normal orientation. Having them inverted would greatly increase their utility.

Also, pedals usually hang down from the underdash (yes, I made that word up) and having your pedals inverted add to the immersion. I mounted my Fanatec Elite pedals inverted and would not go back, it feels natural this way.

That's actually a very legit question Barry! Ive been running mine all out of box f1 style but as . Love older cars I've been really contemplating mounting them from a hanging position. Mine is all mig welded together but I understand not everyone has the luxury of such items but on the farm for us an everyday object;) keep us posted and I'll add any information I can as well.

So i did something silly this morning and forgot to take my test bolt with me to buy more of them so I can mount the pedals. Can someone tell me what size the threaded holes are on the G27 pedals for hard mounting?

I've read online some threads about this and some people say M4 and some say M6 x 1.0. Any help would be great.

    Thanks
    Barry

This document from their customer care center (posted on Amazon) shows M6x1. Sorry I do not have them myself but did want to help.

That's what size I thought they were. I'll go and buy a few M6 anyway, they won't go to waste.

As it has been 40+degrees Celsius here for last two weeks I haven't had the chance to weld up pedals on weekend (sim gear) but made up a sequential shifter using an old arcade joystick. But . May just bite the bullet today or tonight and invert pedals as I said I would. Sorry for my slackness!

Have you driven it yet Barry? Looks like the angle would be nicer on the ankle joint!

Only just sat in it to test the leg distances. It was all measured and tested before it was put together so the angles all appear to be good.

I also had time to do the underhung pedals today but as F1 race is on I'm watching at moment but as soon as race is over I'll upload some pics, but it does feel much better though I also have not tried them yet.

DSC_0140.JPG here's a shot of the new mod.

Alittle update on pedals, I ran for about 2 hours last night and pedals are Alot easier to feel and control but I am going to move the angle a few degrees forward as I think I was over extending my left foot in regards to the brake but overall I am very happy and for g27 owners inverted pedals are definitely a great option to the short height IMO:)

I rounded the box edges on mine last night and screwed a plastic carbon effect sheet to the front just to tidy it up. The inside is ready to carpet now and I need to make sure the wiring is neat and secured.

I had another run on sim sled today and I definitely have to lower the pedals down a little bit but I love the inverted style :) I'd like to see the carbon and carpet finish Barry that would look cool.
